Nigerian artist MohBad dies from ear infection; beef with Naira Marley, suicide and B.P. history tak

Nigerian street hip-hop artist MohBad has been confirmed dead. He died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, aged 27.

MohBad, whose hit song “Ko Por Ke” (with Rexxie) received massive rotation in Ghanaian clubs and TikTok, died from an ear infection, as per several Nigerian media reports.

According to Pulse NG, MohBad’s team stated that the musician took a trip to the hospital for treatment, after which he was administered an injection. He passed out shortly after the injection and unfortunately did not wake up.

Before his death, MohBad had a never-ending with his former label boss, Naira Marley. After his death, an old video of him speaking about how his former label boss is after his life popped up.

Last year, he quit Marlian Music after he was attacked by members of Naira Marley’s label for requesting a new manager.

Aside from that, he had history with hypertension. He once tweeted about it, and his friend and fellow Nigerian artist Bella Shmurda confirmed it. He also attempted suicide.

Naira Marley reacted to the death of MohBad with a heartbreak imoji on his Instagram story.
