Disturbing footage of young calves being brutally beaten and abused at an Indiana dairy farm has led retailers to pull the company’s product from their shelves.

The harrowing footage secretly recorded last year by an investigator from a Miami-based animal welfare group shows employees at Fair Oaks Farms, one of the nation’s largest dairy producers, callously abusing calves.

Employees can be seen kicking young calves in the head, violently throwing them into their huts and tossing the carcasses of dead calves into a heap on the farm located 70 miles south of Chicago.

Animal Recovery Mission described it as one of its “most grueling factory farm investigations to date” and said its undercover investigator, who worked at the farm for several months, captured evidence of “systematic and horrific animal abuse.”

Chicago-based supermarket chains Jewel-Osco, Family Express and Strack & Van Til have all pulled Fairlife products from their shelves in the wake of the scandal.

Fair Oaks Farms is the flagship farm for popular brand of milk Fairlife — a joint venture between Fair Oaks Farms and The Coca-Cola Company, Fox News reported.

Its Indiana farm is also a popular destination for school field trips and hosts tours where people can get a “fun-filled look at the life of a cow,” according to its website.

In a statement, Fair Oaks Farms founder Mike McCloskey — a cow veterinarian prior to entering the dairy industry — said he was heartbroken by the footage and had fired four employees seen in the video.

“As a veterinarian whose life and work is dedicated to the care, comfort and safety of all animals, this has affected me deeply,” McCloskey said.

“I am disappointed for not being aware of this kind of awful treatment occurring, and I take full responsibility for what has happened.”

The Newtown County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
